No, I'm not expecting anything delightful to happen. I'm just hoping that after a enough time has passed something interesting will happen. No count down involved. And Minnesota decided that today was going to be hot, and she don't mess around. The high temperature for yesterday was 78F and the expected high for today is 96F. I was going to write a really long post but I'm exceptionally busy doing nothing so I better get back to that.

We had a lovely day with the whole family, mom and T made strawberry jam, we played badminton and went ATVing, Jenny is home!! We had a lovely large dinner and I tell you what I was just too exhausted to go with the family to the fireworks.

How NOT to help celebrate a birthday

We were having a perfectly lovely party for my great grandma and it was time for the cake!! I love cake and I especially love the fluffy stuff that is on the outside of the cake which is doubly better because no one else likes it and they always give it to me. But apparently being cool enough to be gifted with extra cake is not at all the same thing as helping yourself. Who knew? I'm only telling you guys this secret because I figure it might help you from falling into the same traps I did. That is to say, DON'T eat the cake directly from the table. If you do then you get sent to 'your room' which means no cake, no party and no fun. Luckily for me we were at greatgmas so the only place for 'my room' to be was a few feet away in the grass, and there I sat. Lonely and cakeless.

You know, it's the simple things that matter, that's why I've posted this entry about sticks 'cause I love 'em and they are chewy and wonderful. You can fetch them and tease with them and chew them and they grow on trees so there are usually plenty. Did you know that Gus and Louie just got a new sister named Callie? She's just as cute as could be and I'm very jealous as I would love a new brother and I'd show him all about sticks and I definitely would try my hardest not to break him (which unfortunately happened to Callie, she played to hard on her leg and it totally broke *upside = pink cast and lots of goodies). She's deaf just like her big brother Louie and I'm very excited to see her grow up and swim in the lake. Happy Canada Day everyone. And a very Happy Birthday to my Great Grandmother.
