Correcting Keystone-ing Perspective

Sharing knowledge is always a good thing... someone asked me about this, so if you have Photoshop this is the "how to": -open your photo in PhotoShop. -check View: Rulers -from inside the vertical rulers "white area" use the "move tool" to click and drag out 2 guides (one at a time) -place the guide lines near the lines of the photo that you would like straightened -check Select: All -you will now have "marching ants" all around your photo indicating it's active -check Edit: Transform: Distort -click on the corners of the marching ants (one at a time) and move the corners around to change the distortion -on the top menu bar there is a circle with cross line to "cancel" OR a check mark to "apply" the distortion change -go to Select: Deselect (makes the marching ants go away) -go to View: Clear Guides -crop picture using crop tool (you will loose some of the photo) -View: Rulers (off) -save!

Not a spectacular shot but I just admired this young woman with her yellow boots and large bag. We were at a music camp/ school with a dress code of navy bottom & light blue top.... she found a way to stand out in the crowd!

Swallows

Yesterday when I was walking along the bay I noticed baby swallows hanging out on the waters edge waiting for mom to come by with some tasty little bug treat. I only had my point & shoot along at the time and the shots didn't come out very well. Today, armed appropriately for the hunt with the DSL & telephoto, I went back and was much more satisfied with the result. Although it was just as much fun to watch them as to photograph them.
