Today was my babies sixth birthday! I can't believe six years has gone by already, I mean 6 years, where did it go? To celebrate we opened some presents, went to the bookstore and made a mess of their shelves, had a European Chocolate Mousse birthday cake and went to the park to play.

Sugarplum Apparantly

My daughters pet snail for all of 20 minutes. She named it Sugarplum. Then Ivey. Then she decided she liked Sugarplum again so that's the name that stuck. Then we went and played on the climbers for a while and when we got back to Sugarplum she moved all about 3 inches. Not much of an escape artist.

Got invited over to my sisters place for a pool party with the kids this afternoon. Couldn't resist! As for me, I forgot to apply sunscreen to myself. Needless to say I'm plenty red and plenty sore right now. My little baby is the one in the red with white polka dots.

Saw this rotting in a field and just had to swing around and get a shot of it. Never to see the road again yet it still has more character than 99% of what's made today. Love these things! Any hardcore VW people know what year it is? From my limited knowledge of these based on the split windscreen I'd say early 60's-ish-ish??? EDIT - Wikipedia is your friend! Not only is the van the coolest thing on wheels everything about them is funky. From a engine that no spare parts were made available to a $72,000.- Hot Wheels toy car.
