Scotty, Our Little Engineer

My husband Steve named him after the character on Star Trek. He and his brothers had been found as strays and were bottle fed by the wonderful people at the local cat shelter. He loves laps and giving us kisses. He also loves computers. So many buttons, moving screens, and a little moving cursor thing that moves like a bug! Occasionally he sits on my shoulder and purrs into my ear as I type. I put his little perch by my chair so we can both enjoy the computer. Where's winter? I love it when the snowflakes finally drive away the humid, oppressive heat of summer. This year, winter has been unbearably mild. This morning showed the remnants of our third "storm."

I've posted a few other pictures of this plaque. This morning was different, however, as it was the 70th anniversary of the day it commemorates. The wreath was new as of today. Even in the rain, it was a moving place to be.

My husband and I celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary (Nov 7) by doing nothing much, just relaxing over the weekend. We took a walk around the neighborhood on Sunday and I got a couple of shots here and there. We went home and found that the best light was right in front of the house.

Melting Frost

There was frost on the ground this morning, when this picture was taken. I realized after working on it later that the frost had melted on this plant and left little droplets behind.
