The two big attractions in San Antonio are the Riverwalk and the Alamo. The Alamo is very understated.

LBJ Library and Museum

After the conference, we took two extra days to explore the San Antonio area. One stop was the LBJ Library at the University of Texas in Austin. So far, we have seen the libraries of John Adams (at his house in Quincy, MA), FDR at Hyde Park, Thomas Jefferson (on display at the Library of Congress) and Washington (at Mount Vernon)--not official 'Presidential Libraries' -- plus the official libraries of Kennedy, Nixon and Reagan.

Fireworks at Knibbe Ranch

There is a fireworks setting on my camera. Next time, I have to remember to turn off the previews. Again, I kept shooting and hoping I would get something interesting.

Rodeo at Knibbe Ranch

We just got back from a company conference in San Antonio, Texas. I think they rented every bus in the county to transport us all to Knibbe Ranch for BBQ, a rodeo and fireworks. It was a fun evening but getting good action shots was difficult because of the low light. I set my little Lumix on burst mode. I shot close to 1000 shots in hopes that I might get one or two really good shots. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to shoot fast enough to stop the action.
