A lot of things have changed, i passed a lot of exams, made a lot of progress aaaaand- got a new camera! Yes! Canon Eos 1000D (Rebel XS) and just to show it of, here are a couple of photos.

1. Well, i've been home alone a lot lately- and i'm not a big fan of it. I don't like cooking just for one. Now, my mother knows 2 things when she leaves for more than a week- a) everything is going to be squeaky clean when she comes back and b) all the plants are gonna be dead. D e a d. I just don't have a green thumb, and here is the last breath of a bamboo branch.

2. Ah, my cat. Believe it or not, she is quite an obedient model- she loves it! That little minx...

S

P.S. I had no idea whatsoever how to name this post, so i just turned my ipod on and this was the first song on shuffle...

Powered by Photoblog.com

For once, i'm letting my photos tell their own story.

I came back from LDN several weeks ago, but haven't had the time to, not only upload, but to choose only 30 photos to post for you to see and preferably comment on. So, i decided to not limit myself only the mere number of 30. I'm going with 60. For now.

I do have to say that i really don't understand all the fuss about England weather! They have it perfect there- 15-20 degrees of C, the air breathable, it' doesn't even rain that often (though, i'm a rain kind of girl...)! And, yes i had a great time, eating all the Japanese and (newly discovered) Arabic food i can, well afford, going on festivals that last from 3-10 pm and though i am completly broke now (but with a brand new degree in Eu law) it was well worth it, if only to have in my posseion Eric Clapton's Blackie t-shirt, and Mayers purple heart-tree t-shirt. Forget about D&G, girls, all i need is JM & EC!

S

Ok, not a short post. Ah well, just imagine- if i am able to write this much on a photo blog, what menace would i be on a real blog...

Powered by Photoblog.com

Don't you just hate when you write something really nice and seemingly intelligent and then the darn computer (or me pressing 10 things at once) erases it???

Well, ok.

I love graffiti art. I always did, even as a kid. I remember how back in the late '90s there was an artist called Cross that made the most beautiful graffiti all over my town. I'd always just get a glance at them, while the bus stopped on a bus station where he left his mark. I remember how when the bus would start to leave the station always twisted my neck in the most impossible ways just to memorize one more thing about that piece of art, always afraid that maybe tomorrow it would be gone. Painted over by some iridescent squeaky clean white facade.

I owe a lot to the man behind that alias, Cross. If it weren't for him, i'd probably never start drawing (just another completely forgotten hobby) Not that was particularly good at it, probably due to the fact that i could never draw anything that would make sense- a ballerina in a tutu with a body of a soccer player just to give you a clue. Though, i did design a couple of gowns, dresses, including my prom dress.

Now when i think about it, the only thing i loved about it was that it was the only time ever that i could completely shut my brain, my thoughts (no wonder my drawings made no sense, ha?)

Ok, enough, gotta keep in mind that this is a photo blog.

But if you are interested in the art of graffiti please visit the site of a The Cans Festival that took place in London (which i'll visit in a couple of weeks!)
and the site of my favorite graffiti artist , the genius Mr. Banksy

Love,

This little creature has been with me more than half of my life.
When i was younger, and asked weather i have any siblings, i would say i have her.

I know i should use ''it'' instead ''her'' but, this is my cat we are talking about! 12 years of getting up in 3 am (because she wants out in that exact hour), 12 years of hearing her meow all the time (honestly, she talks a lot, she just stares at you and starts talking). She is incredibly curious, maybe even more than i am ( we once found her inside the oven, just when my mom was about to start it) and she hates traveling and just the suitcases can drive her crazy (because it usually means we are going away and leaving her).

And, i can honestly say that i can't imagine these past 12 years without her, and i can't imagine that i would turn up like i did in the end if it weren't for this annoying little beast. Batman, as my mom calles her.

Maca. That's her name, '' little cat'' in Croatian.

It's also one of the poorest. He said that he will forever be influenced by the contrast of incredible beauty of the scenary and the poverty of the people.

He also said that he often felt guilty and ashamed to be taking photos, or to even walk around with a camera- as if he were mocking their way of life.

Unlike the photos from Bali i posted some time ago, and the photos from South America i attend to post some time soon, here the focus is not on the beauty of the architecture and the buildings - this is as raw as it gets.

Ah, and, just a little side note- my dad hates anything and everything connected with snakes and let along crocodiles, so for him to come close to take a photo of not one, but several was like---well, imagine Indiana Jones adopting a snake for a pet.

And, so sorry for all the grammar/syntax/ spelling mistakes i'm bound to make- i'm just too lazy to write with a spellchecker. This is a photo blog, right??

I used to spend all my summers there, but i haven't been there for almost a year. I would even say that my love for photography was born there. It still is like a little save haven for me, eventhough it has changed somewhat in these 20 years.

These photos were taken last September or October, and it was a very rainy day (which is very unusual for that island!) but a couple of photos were taken just after the rain.

But, i still adore it. And this is my...homage to it. It will forever be my inspiration!

Criminal proceedings.
(Yes, I passed!!). But this exam drove me crazy- i got my insomnia back, lost weight, didn't leave house for days...

So, while I was waiting for it to start, I made these two, and i know they are off focus, and not really good, but I was trembling with fear and i needed a distraction from it all.

Now, I'm not a big fan of sunny days, but the sky was the most amazing blue that i've ever seen, the tree look so wicked and i did pass a very important exam that day...

And as of 6pm yesterday, I officially belong to the second group.

And then rain came. A storm. And it broke my umbrella (ella, ella, i had to:). I was so wet that i ended up jumping in every little pond of rain, just to have fun-i figured, since i'm already wet to my bones...
