It is a plesure to see this sculpture and the shadow falling behind it was an amazing view... Even at 21st century here in INDIA we worship him... All most every one whoever practice classical dance 'Bharathanatiyam' in INDIA start their carrier only after worshiping him 'Natraja'... One of the 64 manifestations of Shiva.hindu God - the man-woman form with Parvati constituting the left half of Shiva is Ardhanareeswara. The ardhanareeswara is concept that Shiva stands for. In this aspect he draws the feminine into his own self. He is half man, half woman.
