New Colors in my Closet

Today I did some spring cleaning, and the focus was my bedroom closet. I put away the browns and beige clothes of winter, and replaced them with my spring and summer clothes. Love all the soft & bright new colors in my closet now!

Having lots of fun this morning watching my grandson Owen intently playing with the same old-fashioned wooden alphabet blocks that his grandfather played with as small child.

First Cookout of the Season

Here we are at my mother's house in Maine - The sky is blue, the weather is great and the birds are singing - Definitely time for the first cookout of the season, a classic one with hot dogs and hamburgers. (I brought the potato salad and brownies for dessert)

His First Pair of Little Shoes

My grandson Owen is walking at 13 months--And now he has his first pair of shoes ! (Actually they are cool blue sneakers with Velcro straps..)

Yesterday I heard a lawn mower running in the yard behind my house - Glad to see that these pretty little wild violets survived and are still happily blooming in the grass next to my back door.
