It's been a while...

It's been over a year since I posted here. It's been a very long and full year. My dating life has been...interesting. I'm always learning something new so I suppose that's a good thing. Most importantly though, I am happy with myself. My "step" nephews Kyle & Jake came for the summer. They are 14 & 12, respectively, now and they still own my heart....along with the newest addition, Levi!!!! My sister had her first baby on Aug 20 and he astounds me every time I see him! They're all such wonderful boys and I'm so thankful to be their aunt. I left my job as a full time nanny for Clayton, because also being a full time personal assistant for his mother wasn't working for me. I adore him and I miss him intensly. I will never forget the year and a half I spent with him. I'm going to try to be active on here once again. I may possibly begin another 365, much more likly not. I just want to rekindle the friendship I once had with my camera, as we seem to have grown apart. I hope to catch up with old buddies & make new! HELLO AGAIN, PHOTOBLOG!

HI! I haven't been around for a while now but I want to try to get back into photoblog and catch up with everyone on my friends list. Here's my update. I'm good and I'm happy. I still love my job being a nanny for Clayton. We have a lot of fun. Kyle & Jake are back in Illinois and I miss them terribly. Life is going and I don't really have any complaints. I hope you're all doing as well =]

Mother's Day Tornados

15 tonados ripped through Georgia on Mother's Day. 10 of those were here in central Georgia. The one that cause the most damage was in Macon, less than a mile from my home. Luckily myself & all of my family came out of it alright, and I've only heard of two deaths. Many people lost their homes and busniesses and everywhere you look it's like a war zone. I have never seen anything like this except on TV. We were without power for 65 hours at my house, and less than 200 homes are still without power almost a week later. Here are some facts about the tornado that went through my city: This tornado ran an 18 mile path Winds up to 135 mph (almost an F3) Width of the twister reached 100 yards Estimated $125 million in insured losses Estimated $11 million in damages at Macon State College Approx 2,000 buisnesses damaged Approx 1,200 homes damaged More than 700 power poles replaced More than 68 miles of new wire run We have crisis responce teams stationed at churches and power trucks & debris trucks from 5 different states using empty parking lots for bases & being shuttled to hotels in other cities during their shift changes. Red Cross and the Salvation Army are handing out thousands of meals and we've been very lucky with all the help recieved. It'll be a long time before my city is back to normal but I'm glad it wasn't any worse. ***All of the photos except the last 3 were taken by me. Those 3 are from 13WMAZ.com***

365/365 - Flowers For Peng Che

Carley messaged me asking me to post flowers for emmetan's friend Peng Che who is in a hospital in Singapore fighting ovarian cancer. Flowers aren't allowed into her room there, so these flowers are for her in hopes it can brighter her day just the tiniest bit! My best wishes <3 This is it. I've done it. I finished my Project 365! I'm so happy and kind of sad at the same time. I'm also very proud of my efforts. I'll continue to post photos here, just not daily anymore. Thanks to everyone for the encouraging words along the way!
