I happen to be in one of temple for my daily offering on Wednesday evening. I was surprised to see his dance show going on. Wasn't prepared enuf with the kind of lens I would have loved to be with to capture his dance postures. Even the lighting wasn't at best. Anyway... just captured whatever I could. Info about this dance form which is one of the oldest surviving forms of dance can be checked by navigating to this wiki link am attaching Odissi Dance It is believed Odissi dance originated right in 1st century BCE on the basis of archaeological evidences. And still it is quite a popular dance form with many taking up the dance form with utmost passion and sincerity.. Dancer name here in the blog is Gokulsree Das. He is one final year student of B.Tech who is a very well known Odissi dancer ,very passionate about Odissi dance and has been performing at many shows in India as well as abroad.
