a few picts from the ithaca, ny area. they were taken with a 35mm camera, but I also got a cd too. I did get my digital camera fixed in time for the beach, so you'll see those picts next.

Here's my nephew helping my parents in the flower beds. I still haven't got my camera fixed, so I used my parents. I'll be attempting to use an old rebel slr this weekend at the finger lakes. I might post some of them if they turn out OK

Well, a photo a day isn't quite working out, but I will post when I can. these are 2 of my orchid plants that are blooming. I should have pictures of my fushia colored one in a few weeks.

another shell. I actually got this for my hermit crab, but I think it's a bit heavy for her. It looks nice, so I decided to add it to my collection from the beach.

Here is my blue dish again. I thought I would show you what it looked like on a white background. I wish the background was whiter, but it's a great improvement from the original. thanks to those who commented on my other pictures, I really appreciate it!

Here is Zach. My SIL is holding him. She and my brother refer to themselves as Zachs 'keepers'. I will admit that when I go to see him, I greet him first and then say hi to my brother and SIL.

the dish

This is a dish my Grandma gave me. I thought I would try to get it on a black background, but then I used my color-swap feature to match the background to the color of the dish. I tweaked 2 of them a little and this is what I got. Someday I hope to make a little light box and get some lights. My house is pretty dark, so I had to use the flash for these shots.

I've got some catching up to do! I think it was Thursday when I was taking pictures of this shell on my window sill. FIESTA! The second picture is my napkin holder. I got it at our church garage sale. My dishes are Fiesta, so it fits in my kitchen nicely. I was making cookies last night, so these next couple of shots were taken in the kitchen, which is also the brightest room in the house. Tea anyone? This thing was a bugger to get in focus. I still don't think it is. Some day I'll figure it out. Vroom! I like VW's and I have a little collection on my kitchen window sill. I got this one recently. There was a dealer near my school in Lancaster, PA that sold older VW's. They had an awesome van like this that was royal blue and white. It was in great condition. If I could afford having a second car, that would have been the one! They always had a thing or 2, also. The first picture is close to the origanal. I brightened it a bit. The second I changed the black level, contrast and gamma and did some despeckle to get rid of the noise. Hello, hello! I've moved from the kitchen to the dining room. I love this phone! The window is also in my dining room. It may look black and white, but it's not. I adjusted the black and white levels a bit and cropped.
