7 Months Old

My son Rowan is now seven months old, this year has really flown quickly to be honest. He's becoming such a handsome little man - beginning to lose his baby face and gives us a glimpse of toddler face at times. He has two teeth, is crawling and has recently learnt to sit up on his own. We're both pretty proud of him. :)

Eleven Weeks Old

My son Rowan is eleven weeks old today, which is almost three months... that makes him sound less of a newborn to me and more of a - well, a baby! He's recently discovered his fists (they make for good sucking!), is beginning to grasp and is sleeping for longer stretches during the night.... phew! Makes for a happy Rowan and a happy me too. ;)

The Littlest One of All

So... it's been a while! I don't know whether anybody who used to post here back in 2009 and earlier visits the site anymore, but thought I would pop in with a quick update anyway. On April 7th, 2011 I gave birth to a beautiful little boy by the name of Rowan. He is currently five weeks old and is the light of my life. The amount of love that one can have for such a tiny human being is phenomenal. Pregnancy and birth is an experience that I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to have (Rowan was conceived through IVF), so that makes him extra special. :)

This year has been an interesting one, to say the least. Lots of changes, including the one above. I'm pregnant, and nearly out of the first trimester. :)

Dusk over my little suburb in Melbourne. I've been practising shooting into the light lately (and having mixed success - I have some friends who are wonderfully inspiring). Three Photoblog posts in a week... the last time I did that was during Project365 last year, I'm guessing that would be classed as a comeback? Who knows, but I'm trying to get out there again and take more interesting pictures after experiencing a photo rut for most of the year. Living in an apartment tends to do that, especially when the world outside my door is a construction site (and I'm more into green nature than urban/construction photography).

So Winter has officially hit Melbourne (or the last death-throes of Summer). We awaken to crisp air, condensation on the windows and warm scarves. Jackets are a definite must in the mornings now, though our Winters are akin to Spring in the Northern Hemisphere most of the time. ;)

May has brought domestic bliss -- entertaining at home, Autumn (and possibly Winter?) has now hit Melbourne, and more. Lots of waiting too. Trying not to think as life on hold at the moment!

Melbourne put on a gorgeous sunset last night (though I'm biased!) and I headed up to the hill near where I'm living to check out the panoramic views. I really am spoilt to be living somewhere so beautiful!
