Interesting contrast. BTW, the fast looking boat had twin 572ci engines and sounded quite healthy. He had obviously taken a tumble and was tangled in some gooey pine gum and hair. He has a few broken and missing flight feathers and is missing a toenail. I brought him home and cleaned him up and fed him. Now I'm his mommy and he sits on my shoulder and demands food. We're going to bring him to a wildlife rescue center and see what's best for him, but he might become a new pet if he can't be re-released. On a sad note, the Phoebe's in the previous entry didn't make it. They built a nest in the eave and have been annoyed at our coming and going. Nice little birds, they catch flying insects, they are in the family Tyrannidae, or Tyrant Flycatcher.
