A Sunset

Every day I pray to God to show me one more sunset. I glory at its magnifcence and the wonder of God. I had a dream last night. I asked God for one more sunset and he said: " I have showed you enough sunsets. Now take my hand and we will both witness a new sunrise. " 'Death, where is thy sting?'

You drive pass hulking sugarcane trucks and jeepneys....pass other automobiles.....everyday without fail..... And then you see a carabao and its rider slowly trot the sideways of the highway..... You race against time. The Carabao and its rider owns it.

I often wonder what they think the moment i start snapping my camera. Why is he taking my picture? What is he going to do with it? I am lucky I live in a culture where taking candid shots of strangers is acceptable. I can imagine the reaction in other places where it becomes an invasion of privacy. Faces fascinate me.....They have so much stories to tell
