hehe.. haven't been updating though there was a really good lunch prepared weeks ago by my dearest dar dar! this time he cooked seafood pasta in tomato sauce! compared to the previous lemon chicken pasta, this was really good! the sauce was filled with seafood taste, the mussels and prawns were really fresh too... i helped a little bit in the preparation this time.. hehe.. but dar still din allow me to do much.. so i could only eat? haha.. it's very delicious, though i didn't manage to make the ingredients look really good in the photos.. but it's fantastic pasta i tell you! hehe.. i love u dar. muacks

abalone porridge

we went out to do marketing yesterday!!! had a really bad day before that actually, but don't wanna talk about it.. talk about happy things instead! yeah! hehe.. it's really a kind of simple happiness that makes ppl smile.. going a simple marketing to look for ingredients for the porridge for example, is fufilling to me.. though we went almost all over jurong to find the ingredients.. hehe.. and my so hardworking dar woke up really early just to make abalone porridge for me! it's the first time anyone of us tasted abalone with porridge.. good thing his mum adviced some tips.. and it turns out really well!!! i was a pig though, sleeping on the bed while my dar woke up at 6am to cook the porridge.. i only woke up at 9 to taste it.. hehe.. but it tasted really great! and it's dar's first attempt to make the porridge.. wow.. i'm so impressed.. hehe.. and i haven't even made anything for dar to eat except for cheesecakes.. alamak.. thank you dar.. the porridge really tastes great.. plus the effort you placed in.. not how expensive it is, but it's something not even money can buy de.. i love you dar. muacks

alrite, my blog has been full of food photos.. and this time, it's food again! haha.. i'm such a glutton ah? saturday morning dar gave me such a big surprise! he actually woke up very early and met me at the clinic! wow! i was really shocked and happy to see him! thanks dar for giving me such a pleasant surprise to start the day... really felt very touched, cause i really missed u alot during for the past week... anyway, we left for lunch at The Garden Slug (http://www.thegardenslug.com).. as we were at Eunos already... plus we'll have a discount too.. lol.. the place was rather empty, perhaps we were too early, and there was only one person to serve us.. we ordered a greek salad as a starter... then i had Battered Ocean Hake while dar had Grilled Brazilian Lambchops... as seen on the photos? hehe... the salad was much nicer than the one we tasted before.. cause this one's in the smaller portion i guess.. heh.. the fish was also very fresh... dar's lambchop was also great, it was a little fatty, but it was easy to swallow... a very fulfilling lunch we had, but quite expensive too.. haha.. but guess dining at a western restaurant would be a reasonable price already.. then we had a movie, Shrek 3! finally managed to watch it.. and it was really not bad, though i think 1 n 2 was better.. but it still gave me lots of laughter.. very funny to see our familiar fairy tale characters doing the things you don't read in their stories.. hee.. the rest was a pool, really happy to have dar playing pool with me, though i lost at the end... and then followed by a more simple dinner, and home sweet home for a good rest.. hehe..

Dunkin Donuts

finally! i get to taste dunkin donuts, all thanks to some singaporeans who take the trouble to travel to malaysia and drive back to singapore... to let singaporeans have the chance to try without stepping out of the country! of course, they do earn some money out of it.. haha.. but nevertheless, it's not that expensive, or at least you don't have to queue for 3 hours to get donut factory ones! though it's very fresh for that one la.. haven't tried them yet, but oh well, maybe wait for tmr le, cause supper is not gonna do good for my waistline.. haha.. too bad i can't meet dar to pass him a box.. which i intended to do so..

today me n my sister made cookies! oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to be exact... it's quite simple actually, with the ready mix, an egg and abt 100gms of butter, that's all for the ingredients.. the only thing i don't like about cooking/baking is the washing part.. haha.. or else i'll be very willing to cook/bake everday.. hehe.. haven't tasted the cookies yet though, still waiting for it to cool.. and dar, don't worry, you'll be one of those to try it really soon tonight.. muacks

dar's bday

today i celebrated dar's bday, in advance, his bday is 2 days later actually.. but it's on a weekday, plus we both have to work, so decided to celebrate earlier. the prev day we celebrated rose's bday... which ended quite late.. almost 2 then we reached home i guess.. so this made us really tired and full of fatigue today.. sigh.. which i thought i could have really done better to make dar happy... for brunch, we had char kway teoy, a funny one actually, it has no 'hum' and 'taiwan sausage', and it didn't have a good taste? luckily dar bought another pack of 'wu xiang'.. hehe.. had planned to light the cake up before dar came back from 'da bao', but oh well, he seemed to open the door so silently i didn't know.. arhh.. but ok, so i lighted the cake, which he knew already.. the photo above is the cake.. yah.. it doesn't look great at all right? heh.. but it's an oreo cheesecake, i made it myself! doesn't look great, but it tastes good k.. heh.. then i presented his already expected gift.. and after that? we went off to nap again.. haha.. till it went quite late, then we hurried to make a move to catch the movie, blades of glory.. wasn't a bad movie at all.. the trailer was really funny.. so was the movie.. gayish ice skating.. the best thing then came, dinner! finally had soup restaurant after like a year when dar first told me abt it.. we had the set meal, comprises of their signature samsui ginger chicken, prawns with tofu, sliced fish with bean sprouts, ginseng roots chicken soup, and a dessert. which really made our table really full.. there were rice, peanuts, tea too.. too bad i 4got to take photo of it.. in the end had to 'da bao' the dessert back cause the stomach really had no space for it.. hehe.. hope dar really enjoyed the day, though everything was just expected and not really planned at all.. sigh... but i still love u lots dar.. muacks

Vivocity

wee! went to vivocity for the 3rd time, but this was the most comprehensive one, which me and dar walked almost the whole of the shopping centre.. the previous ones were all at lunch time, so couldn't walk much... anyway, we had plenty of time cause the earliest tickets for spiderman 3 movie was at 8pm.. we were there since 2:30! arghh.. maybe i shouldn't have insisted to watch it... the exterior of vivocity is really superb, especially with the view of sentosa within a short distance.. the weather was quite fine so to say too... too bad we didn't bring a decent camera so could only use my humble n70.. hehe.. we had quite a sumptous dinner at Food Republic then... i ate bak choy mee, whereas dar ate claypoy laksa, which looked really good.. but too bad my stomach wasn't that well, so just had a few sips of the curry.. mmm.. but oh well, it costs $6.90! spiderman 3 was quite alright... the plot was really slow especially in the beginning.. then it seemed to end pretty fast, with only one big fight.. funny that Peter Parker actually has alot of masks to change into.. haha.. but it was really sad to see Harry die in the end.. i'll give this movie a humble 7 lipglosses out of 10..

Istana Open House

today went to the istana open house for the first time! finally get to see what's inside the place we usually pass while getting to Plaza Singapura.. hehe.. and of course, dar's work place... finally know what he means by it's on a 'hill'... it's all upslope till the main building! it's tiring to walk in such a humid and hot weather... i kept trying to see where's dar... but only when i got near the building, then i got to see him! arhhh.. i nearly thought i missed him.. didn't really talk much to him cause dun wish to disturb his work... so just kept blinking at him.. lol.. went into the building, which costs $2.. but couldn't take any photos... which is sad, cause the interior is really furnished very well.. the lights, the flooring, the furniture.. wow.. it's a palace! too bad didn't manage to catch our president either.. cause he went africa... oh well, managed to see my dar can le.. hehe

Lemon Chicken Pasta

weee! had pasta for lunch today, the special thing was... it's made by dar entirely! and i helped abit.. yes.. it's really a little bit as he didn't want me to help.. maybe he was scared i would make a mess.. haha it looked really good actually, but unfortunately, we were too impatient to let the spaghetti cook well enough.. therefore it was kind of tough... mmm... and another thing was the pasta sauce wasn't enough... so dar's plate had so little of sauce... i think he ate it with much difficulty.. sigh... but it still could be eaten ya? i ate all the food on my plate... the chicken was not bad in fact.. hehe.. did you know guys who cook are really a fortune to gals? it's also charming in a way... thank you dar for taking the effort to go search high n low for recipes, and getting it done... i love u (=
