We arrived in Spain and started our journey in Madrid. We were met at the airport by my best friend since high school, Diana, who spent spent high school and college in the U.S., but she returned to her native Spain after university. And now, we were here for three weeks for her beautiful Spanish wedding!

I spent several days in New York on my way to Spain this month. One of my favorite spots was the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. It was huge and had some gorgeous flowers and plants.

Wow, this year knocked the wind out of me and kept me running around, but at last I am done with grad school and my internship year and (hopefully) life will calm down. I miss photoblogging and all my photoblog pals. I have some fun photos to post of my recent post-graduation travels over the next few weeks.

Windy Sunset

You wouldn't know it from this serene sunset, but it was incredibly windy that night on the beach and in our campsite. A storm of sand was whipping up all around us -- our food got very crunchy with sand as we ate dinner. Good thing we had some nice views to make it worthwhile.

Jalama Beach

We just returned from a spring break camping trip down the coast of California to Jalama Beach. Jalama is a bit north of Santa Barbara and it's a special little campgroup off the beaten path -- the only way to get there is a 14-mile curvy country road. The week was very relaxing and much needed. This year has been so overwhelming for me in terms of workload and it was refreshing to slow down for several days and just enjoy the moments. I will try to post more photos from my trip over the next few days. Now that spring break is over, I have 10 weeks left of school. It's going to be a tough push to the finish line: lots of work, job searching for next year, and a professional portfolio to submit for my credential. But in the end: I will graduate from grad school with my school psychologist credential and I have a very fun summer planned :).
