This was the real first roll I shot with the 67.

The film is called Agfachrome 50, and it was discontinued some time ago. I found a few rolls of it at a used camera shop in Miami, fresh out of the fridge, for a buck apiece. It seems to be more or less stable, and I like the colors.

I'm pretty happy with them overall, though some were off a bit technically-turns out my meter was underexposing, and underexposure and slides don't mix. One of the above photos needed a lot of work to fix that.
Hope you like them...I have another slide roll done that I haven't scanned yet, and those are eye-popping.

I've yet to get the actual first roll developed, as it's slide film and a bit more complicated to do.
I learned when I had already scanned the whole roll that I forgot one important scanning tech thing- Digital ICE, the neat image correction feature, does not work with Black and White film. The results get pretty funky... might be cool to use for artistic reasons, but when you want detail, it's a bad idea.

UPDATE: I've now rescanned the rest of the roll... here are my favorites.

For those of you who don't know me, I'm Harrison. I'm the Photo Editor at the Independent Florida Alligator, the UF student newspaper in Gainesville, FL. I enjoy long walks on the beach, cuddling, Football, Nikons, and my Pentax 67.

I won't lie, I started this because I'm angry and jealous that Bea and Pinto have time to shoot for fun. It seems nowadays I only have time to shoot work stuff, school takes up the rest. But I'm working on it.

I haven't looked through anything since Spring Break really, so the only pic you'll find here today is from a little shoot I did in the Everglades with my cousins. I liked the moment here. Not my usual fare, but it's good to get out of the same old stuff.

I'm doing most of my personal stuff on my Pentax 67 medium format camera, but until I get final approval to start using the Alligator darkroom, I'm not processing anything yet. When I get those first two rolls done I'm going to have some good stuff for this blog. I'm really happy with the way it makes me think.

That's all for now. I hate how I ramble, I haven't slept since yesterday. Maybe I'll have some more soon. My D3 is down with a short and headed to NPS tomorrow, so I'm down to my D700 and 67. Forgive me if I'm timid about venturing out.

Good night, Good luck, etc.
