this year, the girls decided to be witches and Ariel. it was a pretty dry Halloween this year...not many neighbors giving out candy. the girls had fun anyway. they really went all out with the wigs and the make-up didn't they? damian is walking now...actually he walk A LOT more now since these pics were taken. he looked so adorable in this duck outfit. i think next year he'll be mini-dracula.

I had an interesting shoot recently. I shot my first gay couple! I was expecting to shoot some girls in prom dresses with my buddy cfrancisco but he invited more than just female models to come along. I'll be honest, I definitely was not prepared for this. I directed the shots on the fly which is never good because I tend to waste time thinking of what pose to do next. After working on these photos today, a flood of ideas for poses came rushing to my mind. Sean and Shaun were awesome to work with. I had a blast. Hopefully I'll get the chance to take more shots of them in the future. Enjoy!

Damian is now only a short 2 months away from 1 year. Wow! time really flies around here. Lil' DaeDae got dressed up for his baptism and I must say...he will now be known as 'El Guapo'

I had the opportunity to share my spaghetti dinner with lil' DaeDae and boy did he enjoy it. Good thing I had my camera near by to capture these funny moments. You should have seen the amount of spaghetti on the floor...in retrospect...i should have taken a snap of that...oh well...

First Studio Shoot

I've always been a natural light / speedlite kinda guy...so using strobes was something very foreign to me. I got to shoot with my best bud Chris and had a blast. He needed headshots for a profile he's submitting to Fashion LA. I tried my best to illustrate his personality and hopefully it showed in these shots. He was a little shy at first...but with a few shots of Jack...he was down to go shirtless! hahaha Next, we had a MUA named Linda Van and her friend Sheryl do their thing. The closest thing I had to a model was Janette's nieces and nephew so it was a little strange for me to direct an adult on poses. Overall it was a great night. We had music blasting the night away, glasses upon glasses of Jack Daniels, and major sweat drippin...yes...them strobes combined with LA heat...no good... these are some of my favs of the night...more to come...
