I was lucky this time around as I had a friendly and fair tester, unlike my 1st tester who was a complete pr!ck. -_-

Oddly though, I was nervous on that 2nd test than the previous one. I think it was the pressure of wanting to pass and not having to go through it again. I wanted to make my parents happy as they've been waiting this since the day I was born. *Lol*

After the test had ended, I had to wait in a room whilst the tester retrieved the results before handing it over to me. I felt like a chicken waiting to get its head cut off, man. There were thousands of butterfiles in my stomach, I almost puked.

Don't get me wrong, I had every ounce of confidence that I nailed it. But I couldn't be over-confident. It's just not good!

And what a massive relief when he handed me the paper and I saw that 6-letter word in bold! I almost jumped up in joy and screamed "YAHOOOOO!"

But I didn't lah, but of course. ^_^

I was so pleased, I thanked the tester 3 times before I went down to call my mum, my dad, my driving instructor, my partner and then few others who were waiting for the news. Hahaha.

It was such a delightful day that shortly after talking to them said people, I went to my hairstylist to get my hair coloured and treated. HAHAHA!

What? What?

I deserved it, you know. Plus, my white roots were showing, ick!

By the way, in case you haven't guess...

17th April = Kynne is qualified to drive
18th April = Kynne's *gulp* 30th birthday

It was an ultimate fantastic birthday present, indeed!

Now, who was to present me with a car? ^_^

Powered by Photoblog.com

Almost 12 hours later, at approximately 5.15pm, I popped out. Like literally.

"I had a long labour. You didn't want to come out.".

That's because I love you to bits, Mum.

I mean, with what the world is going through now, can you blame me for not wanting to get out, back then?

^_^

Fast forward to this day of 18th April 2009, (where I'm leaving my 20s forever) what reflections do I have on my life so far?

I'm most thankful that I'm still able to wake up each morning; breathing, alive and kicking.
I'm grateful that God gives me another day to live my life and not have it taken away from me.
I'm thankful that I still have my parents and my loved one, sharing my life with me.
I'm grateful that my best friends are still my best friends and my acquaintances are now my good friends.
I'm thankful that my 5 senses and limbs are still intact.
I'm grateful that the tree outside the kitchen window is still standing tall.
(I'd be kicking buckets if the town council or national parks board decide to chop it down. In fact, I'll tie myself to that tree!)

I may not have all of my wishes fully earned, as yet.

But I'm absolutely and positively thankful for all the blessings that I've been given, thus far.

Powered by Photoblog.com

1) AF wasn't as comfortable to travel on as I thought it would be. Suffice to say, it was my first and last adventure with them.

2) The best croissants must be bought and eaten in France. I had also discovered that I had paid for the most expensive breakfast ever at approximately €30. *sobs*

3) Even though I burnt a slight hole in my wallet, the hot chocolate sure was creamy!

1) Woke up by 4am on a weekend morning (!!)
2) Showered, get ready, make oneself look decent by 6.10am. Yawn.
3) Made sure necessary things are packed. Hair dryer, flat iron, extra camera battery, cellphone charger, nasal spray, etc.
4) Made sure that all the switches are turned off, windows locked before leaving the house.
5) Dragged oneself down the stairs to the void deck and look out for the mini-bus that was supposed to fetch you at 6.20am but was 15-20 minutes late.
6) Grumble to your mum saying that you could get an extra 15 minutes sleep instead of waiting for the late mini-bus.
7) Mini-bus finally arrived with family #1. Family #2 and #3 boarded the bus.
8) Bus driver drove to another pick-up point to fetch family #4 but said family was late for 5 mins (!!). An aunt called for info.
9) Members of family #4 were seen running and crossing the road to get to the mini-bus.
10) 3 families said hi to family #4. Owner of this photo blog yawned. Definitely not an early morning person.
11) Bus driver drove to bus "terminal" of the travel company.
12) Waited for over an hour for the allocated coach bus to arrive at the "terminal".
13) Did something useful like buy hot tea with condensed milk or yawn or talk with your cousins or snap candid shots of peoples' faces.
14) Spotted designated coach bus 100 metres away and said out in a loud voice "OI! Bus is here already!" and proceeded to pull/drag/carry individual bag to the designated bus for loading.
15) Boarded the said bus, leaving the fathers, the astonished bus driver and his assistant to load all *50 small luggages, 2 strollers and 1 wheelchair and a patridge in a pear tree, in the cargo compartment.
16) Scrambled up to the upper deck to choose your seat. Or in this case, we just said... "OI! That's my seat!"
17) Fiddled with the gadgets and gizmos of the plush seats while your aunt tried to do a head count by saying... "OI! Faster sit down, must do head count!"... and looked out the window to see another aunt supervising the men loading the *50 small luggages, 2 strollers and 1 wheelchair and a patridge in a pear tree, in the cargo compartment.
18) Listened to the bus stewardess giving some kind of announcement but then ignoring the said bus stewardess after finding out the plush seats are equipped with massage functions.
19) Test out the massage functions and say, "Oooh. Aahhh. Nice lah!"
20) All human and cargo were finally boarded and loaded on the bus...

Then and ONLY then, could the bus driver wiped off the sweat from his brow, heaved a sigh of relief, started his engine, checked the rear view mirror plus side view mirror and blind spots, signalled and moved off.

Heheh.

Ain't family getaway grand? :)

*There wasn't actually 50 small luggages, 2 strollers and 1 wheelchair and a patridge in a pear tree. Only 25 small luggages, 2 strollers and 1 wheelchair.

*Plus 2 HUGE luggages which belonged to my elder cousin and her husband who kidnapped 2 billy goats from a farm, stuffed them inside the said HUGE luggages and brought them back home.

Powered by Photoblog.com
