Kansas Trip: A Pic from Andy...

Six year old grandson, Anderson, took this photo of his sister and me using my iPhone...and I did a small edit. He is anxious to go out shooting, and asked if he might borrow my 2nd camera. He said, "Mimi, let's go where there's a landscape," as he held his hands in front of him palms down and then spread them apart to "simulate" the word. Guess I have a shooting date! Last time I visited Andy got a taste of DSLR photography....HERE...

Spent a truly wonderful day with a dear PB friend, Dan (durban) and his son, Kevin, who's running in a mountain marathon this weekend.. They cruised down from north of Denver to visit the Colorado Springs area today and needless to say, I was THRILLED to show them the sights around Garden of the Gods and Manitou Springs, two of my favorite places in the whole wide world. Thanks for enjoying the day with me, Dan and Kevin! You guys rock!!! Update: Les, thanks for the tag reminder (pbdating).

Shot this a couple days ago....very intriguing place. It's between a newer urban "trail" for hikers / bikers and a busy street, tucked behind an old hotel. Couldn't get close as there is chain link fence, some barbed wire and other barriers blocking the little old road. My mind, though, was able to imagine what this old pieced-together shack might have been in its day. Fascinating...
