Since there is nothing more charming that to believe in fairy-tales, I was looking for awhile at this mushroom that appeared in the middle of the forest. I was hoping that its owner was appearing, but I suppose the gnome was too shy to let me see him the first time.

Powered by Photoblog.com

And maybe I'm a bore... but I this little bird has became the apple of my eye, and that remind me another Dolores O'Riordan song.

And in the darkness
I was walking through the night.
I could see your guiding light,
very clear.

This is your life.
This is your moment.
This is your life.
This is your moment...

When I was weak
we both went walking on the sand.
We were walking hand in hand,
it appeared.
One set of footprints
when you carried me along.
It was then that I abandoned
my fears

This is your life.

This is the damned killer.
Though it doesn't seem, it's a fly. A murderous fly.
When this horrible creature captures an insect (it usually is a butterfly), then she inserts her proboscis into the prey and injects a toxic chemical, paralyzing the prey. She flies towards a sure place, as a branch of a tree, loading with the prey (though this one is bigger than her). The robber fly then sucks out the inside of the prey body.
Once she has ended, she quickly looks for a new victim. She lands on a bush or a rock, camouflaged, and waits for the suitable moment rubing her hands together. She turns around, staring at you, and says with her diabolical look... What's up!

I've been thinking again about that old question: if a meteorite smashes in the middle of the desert and there are not a living being there... does it make any sound?
If any scientist or physicist is reading this, please let me know it the sound really exists or is it in our heads when the vibrations arrives to the auditory system...

And if nobody can see me... am I invisible?
I believe that it was what this butterfly was thinking when I got closer to photograph her...

Powered by Photoblog.com

La Herrería Forest, El Escorial - Madrid]

Some blue birds were looking for fruits and seeds in the ground of the forest, between some huge granite rocks. They picked up the food and flew to a tree to conceal it in the barck. They were doing the same route all the time, so we sat down on a nearby stone waiting for the birds to continue feeding... But they changed the plan and appeared behind us, in a branch just over our heads!

We didn't have time to adjust the zoom... So we couldn't photograph the whole body... Pictures 1&2 are in real size, no cropped!
This the last set of Nuthatchs. I think this is the best.

Powered by Photoblog.com
