Bumble Bees Are Still Out

Bombus terrestris aka Buff-tailed Bumblebee It is impressive that bees are still out! Expecially these bumble bees! Rain has stopped, and even with sun, these bugs come out! I’ve also noticed that some of the plants near have still the leaves, and some other flowers have bloom already! Did they forget that winter is coming? It is not normal in December there is still leaves on the trees and some are blooming! Strange weather makes plants and bugs crazy!

[Acronicta rumicis – Knot Grass (caterpillar). Guadarrama Mountains, Rascafria - Madrid] I was walking with my Husband on the mountains Looking for beautiful butterflies that could apparently be flying in this time of the year, when I suddenly looked to this beautiful caterpillar. I Went closer and I saw it eating! It is really Rare in Spain find this kind of caterpillars so I couldn’t miss this opportunity, even if my husband was stuck in a tree or something. I'm a bit afraid about the changing weather... Where I live the weather has been too much warm untill November, and I'm starting to believe that Spring will come late. What will I do if all the caterpillars die with the snow and there will be no butterflies??? --------------------------------------- Thanks Ruth and Ted for making ITSO about me !
