Paso un año, tuvimos muchos huespedes, muchas lindas anecdotas. Pongo fotos nuevas para que puedan ver que el departamento sigue igual de bonito, mantenemos la pintura, agregamos algunas cosas, como por ejemplo un cuadro en el living (otras cosas no se ven, como enseres de cocina). Igual miren las fotos anteriores, que hay algunas muy bonitas, y las fotos de paseos recomendados! Dicen que este hermoso arbol, llamado gomero, tiene unos doscientos años de edad. Sus raices son impresionantes, sus ramas parecen el cuello de gigantescos dinosaurios.... Visitenlo! This giant tree named gomero is around 200 years old. Look its roots...its branchs looks like dinousaurs necks... Visit it!

Han pasado algunos meses, y hemos tenido varios huespedes en el departamento. Estoy realmente contenta, me gusta que se vayan satisfechos. Ayer saque estas fotos. Como una huesped mostro tanta alegria al ver el bidet, pense que a otros tambien les interesaria saber que lo hay jajaja tambien incluyo una foto de la vista a la plazoleta Cuando vengan a Buenos Aires, este puede ser su lugar, escriban y pregunten cuanto quieran! :-D buenosaireslandlord@gmail.com Some months later and many guests later, I'm very pleased how things are working with the temporary rent flat. Bueno! hemos logrado concretar un sueño! Este es nuestro departamento en alquiler temporario en Montserrat, Buenos Aires, Argentina. Muy cerca del lugar donde yo naci... Palacio Pizzurno

Este es el Palacio Pizzurno, bueno, el nombre real es Palacio Sarmiento, pero Nunca lo oí nombrar asi. Esta ubicado en el Pasaje Pizzurno, entre Marcelo T. de Alvear y Paraguay. El "Pizzurno" le viene en honor a tres hermanos, maestros todos, de ese apellido. Desde el principio, 1893, estuvo destinado a ser una escuela. Hoy día es la sede del Ministerio de Educación y funciona ahí también la Biblioteca del Maestro. Fue declarado Monumento Histórico. This is Pizzurno Palace, it's located on Pasaje Pizzurno between Marcelo T. de Alvear Ave. and Paraguay St. the "Pizzurno" is in honour of three brothers whose surname was that; all of them teachers. From the beginning in 1893 its destiny was being a school. Today is Education Ministry, and there you find Nationtal Teacher's Library too.

Bar Avila - Avenida de Mayo

Este es el Bar Avila, en Avenida de Mayo 1384. Comida española, show flamenco, aunque yo no lo vi, no se a que hora era. La comida estaba buena, pero el mozo era medio lento... La atmosfera era agradable, las paredes tan llenas de recuerdos. Un lugar interesante. This is Bar Avila, in Avenida de Mayo 1384. Un domingo en la feria de Belgrano

que frío hacía ayer, y yo caminando por Belgrano con una alfombra bajo el brazo. Si, es que acababa de retirarla, la habia comprado por Mercadolibre (como Ebay), y bueno, me fui a la feria de Belgrano para conseguir una mandala. No consegui. Faltaban varios feriantes, pero habia cosas muy lindas. Lo mejor que vi ese dia? Miniaturas en vidrio...unas cositas increibles, de 2 cm de alto, las hacian ahi mismo. La feria esta al lado de "la Redonda", asi le llaman a la iglesia de Belgrano, por su forma. El puesto de las miniaturas de vidrio esta del lado de la calle Echeverria. Me gustaron tanto que les pedi un mail o algo, y aqui pueden ver un poquito de su trabajo, porque mi foto salio muy mal. www.artemurano.com.ar It was a very cold afternoon yesterday. I was in Belgrano, carrying a carpet, yes, a carpet I had bought through Mercadolibre (as Ebay), and looking for a mandala. But I didn't find it, because not all the handycrafters were there that day. The most beautiful thing I saw was the glass miniatures, not taller than 1", incredible beauty. Mi picture is bad, but you have there their web site. the market in Belgrano is close to "La Redonda" (the round one), refering to the Church, which has that shape. The miniatures are on Echeverria street.

Boris, mi amado gato

Hoy quise simplemente presentar a Boris, mi gatito. Tiene 4 años, y fue rescatado de un terreno baldío, junto a sus hermanos. A Dios gracias todos consiguieron hogar. Es un gato porteño, nacio en el barrio de Saavedra. Es un bandido! Nos tiene dominados a todos en casa, y lo sabe... ah, pero no le digan Boris, prefiere que lo llamen Borisito... ***** Borisito murio el viernes 17 de agosto al mediodia. No estaba enfermo, parece que tuvo un ataque cardiaco. Poco imaginaba yo al publicar estas fotos que dos semanas mas tarde lo perderia. Quede entonces esta pagina como homenaje a su memoria, y prueba del gran amor que senti por el****** Today I just wanted to introduce you to mi beloved cat, Boris. He's 4 y.o., he was rescued from an abandon house, with his brothers and sisters, thanks God all of them got a home. Since he was born in Saavedra district, he's a porteño cat! He's scoundrel! he rules us and he knows it... don't call him Boris, he preferes to be called Borisito (little Boris) :-) **** Borisito passed away last Friday 17th Agost. He was not ill. He suffered a heart attack. I loved him deeply, and this page will be now his memorial***************

Chacarita, un domingo

Estas imágenes son de Chacarita. Tiene una hermosa feria, enorme, hay de todo. Lo que no hay es bailarines de tango ni música, quizás por eso los turistas no la visitan como a su colega de San Telmo. Y sin embargo, en cuanto a ir a buscar cosas interesantes, vale la pena. Ropa hay por doquier, las cosas antiguas las vi por el lado de la calle Dorrego. Se ve el hermoso Barrio Parque Los Andes, de 1928. También vemos algo del Cementerio These images are from Chacarita district. The weekend market is very interesting, it has no music or dancers as its college from San Telmo, maybe because of that no many tourists visit it. But it's worth to take a look. A lot of clothes specially, but some antiques and old stuff by Dorrego and Guzman streets. You can see here beautiful Barrio Parque Los Andes, from 1928, and a little of the cemetery.
