Thank you all for those heartfelt comments. I thought of taking a break but reading all those messages makes it difficult. :)
It is just that so many things are going on, it is hard to track down everything and keep everything in control. With internship, work, impending residency exams and the constant struggle to maintain little shreds of sanity, everything has become a big ball of undifferentiated thoughts that is slowly impeding my normal functioning. Oh i will get through, just trying to get things slowly, normalize them one by one.

Even though i have free time, it is wasted in self retrospection.
I will try to post atleast weekly! Even though i wont be able to get back to everyone personally please do know my thought's will be for and with everyone.

Thanks,
regards...

I know i am posting very less. I am beginning too think to give the blog a rest for while. I do get time to post but i am almost not getting any time to come back and follow up with every one.
Nothing decided yet, but....

The sun rays create a divine sunset. A sight to look at.

Another of the mountains...
I don,t remember the name of this peak, it was something long and confusing name in the local language.
It was sometime around 7-30pm when the setting sun lay its rays shining through the clouds and lighting up this side the mountain peak.
This is an HDR image.
Single exposure was good enough for the mountain and fresh snow, but the drama was missing in the skies, hence multiple exposure to give the skies the respect that they deserve.

It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Valleys of Himachal Pradesh, India.
The pass provides a natural divide between the sub-humid/humid Kullu Valley with a primarily Hindu culture (in the south), and the arid/semi-arid high-altitude Lahaul and Spiti valleys with a Buddhist culture (in the north).
The pass lies on the watershed between the Chenab and Beas Basins. On the southern side of this pass, the Beas River emerges from underground and flows southward and on its northern side, the Chandra River, a source stream of the river Chenab, flows westward.

The pass is open from May to November, because rest of the time it is snow covered. It has a well-deserved reputation for being dangerous because of unpredictable snowstorms and blizzards. As shown in the 1st picture, rain clouds descended all of a sudden giving an untimely shower and bringing the temperature down.

Anyway it has become a tourist place, with snow games, nice road side dhabas (small eateries)

Weird thing about sheep, they follow wherever the sheep in lead is walking. No questions asked. :)

It has been quite a while since i posted anything.
Work had been tough and the heat had prevented me from doing any photography.
My a-small-town community hospital rotation had totally drained me and after a small break and a trip to the Himalayas, I am back into my own self.
Not that I am free. I am starting my rotation in Paediatrics from the 1st of July. Would be fun! :p

PS: I had taken the above photo last December, during my final exams. It became a book cover just last week. Here is the link for the book.

Powered by Photoblog.com
