I am sorry that I am a day late with this but I just wanted Todd to know how much I love him and how proud I am of him! My son made all A's and one B on his report card and he is taking honors classes! Yes I am bragging! I told his Dad that he was mine when he was good and he can claim him when he is a brat! lol Seriously, we both could not have asked for a better son! Happy 15th Birthday on Ocotber 8th! Todd, you are growing up too fast! You have become a young man right before my eyes! It seems like yesterday that you were born and I held you in my arms. You will never understand any of this till one day you become a dad and then you will know how your Dad and I feel.

Fall Brawl 2008

I made it back from my trip and I had a really nice time. I am very tired and still trying to get over staying up till 2 and 3 in the morning. I am getting too old for this stuff. There were several karters there that I knew and a few that I didn't. This was a beautiful place. There were mountains all around us. It is the kind of place where the sun doesn't come up till 10 in the morning and goes down about 3 in the day. Just a beautiful country! Makes me think of this song with all the mountains and coal.

Kentucky Fields

I really love where I live. The nights are starting to cool down and the days are very nice. It is time for the farmers to start getting in their crops. I am going out of town this weekend to work at kart race in Eastern Kentucky. I am really looking forward to it. I have never been there and I hear it is a beautiful place with lots of mountains. I hope to take some nice pictures along the way. Have a great weekend!

Old School

This really is my old school! This was Broughtontown Elementary School, back in the day! Lots of memories from this place. We lived in a small community and the school was also small. I was a cheerleader and a basketball player back then! I was also a popular girl! When I went to High School, (there were about 8 different elementary schools that went there) I quickly became nobody. But hey that was fine, I still had several friends and life was great. Sometimes it would be nice to know what I know now and go back. I really would have lots of fun! The old school is now used for a community center, which I guess is a good thing. At least it is being used. We had our family reunion there a few weeks ago.

Buzz Off

There was about 10 or 15 buzzards flying around the other day. Those are some huge ugly birds.

Cook Out In The Hole

They call this place the hole because that is exactly what it is. They have made a beautiful place here. It is down beside the creek and they built an A Frame a few years back. It does not have electric or running water. They hooked up a generator so that we had lights. I did get a couple of photos of the guys playing horseshoes. It was very deep down there with all the bragging going on. A very neat place and we had lots of fun!

World Dirt Kart Championship

These are not the best photos, but these were the only two that I was able to take. It was a very long and very busy weekend. Winner of this race took home $13,010. I didn't get a picture of him or his kart but the winner was Kart #1 Derrick Woodbury and I think he is from Ohio.

The Bench

Rolling Down The Highway

We had girls night out last Friday night. We were on Interstate 75 heading north when we passed this truck and trailer. I knew that my husband would like it, so my friend slowed back down so that I got a picture. I take my camera with me almost everywhere. Never know when you might need it.
