Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon

I would dial the numbers
Just to listen to your breath
I would stand inside my hell
And hold the hand of death
You don't know how far I'd go
To ease this precious ache
You don't know how much I'd give
Or how much I can take

Just to reach you
Just to reach you
Just to reach you

Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon

Keeping my eyes open
I cannot afford to sleep
Giving away promises
I know that I can't keep
Nothing fills the blackness
That has seeped into my chest
I need you in my blood
I am forsaking all the rest
Just to reach you
Just to reach you
Oh to reach you

Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon

I don't care what they think
I don't care what they say
What do they know about this
love anyway

Come to my window
Crawl inside, wait by the light
of the moon
Come to my window
I'll be home soon

The leaves by HUNDREDS came -

And leaves of every name.
The Sunshine spread a carpet,
And everything was grand,
Miss Weather led the dancing,
Professor Wind the band.

This time we have 'Turkish Oil Wrestling'. This is a popular sport that has been going on since the Ottoman Empire.

The wrestlers basically cover themselves in virgin olive oil from head to toe. It makes it really difficult to grab hold of each other as their grip would be slipping off.

However, they have a special pair of pants that are not your typical leather pants; instead they are leather trousers called 'Kispet', made of water buffalo leather weighing approximately 13 kilograms. That is one interesting fact.

It may seem all to inappropriate and you might began to think twice of letting your child watch the match as grown men dive their hands into the pants. But fear not, they are not doing anyrhing indecent; they're just getting a good grip of the 'Kispet' from the inside as it is the only part that is not oily and you can easily throw your opponent over.

It was a rather interesting sight and mesmerizing at the same time, only because the sport has so much history to it and is very much alive today.

"To write history is as important as to make history. It is an unchanging truth that if the writer does not remain true to the maker, then it takes on a quality that will confuse humanity." Mustafa Kemal Ataturk quotes (first President of modern day Turkey and the founder of the Republic of Turkey; May 19 1881-November 10 1938)

It is a 3day event held usually over the long weekend and from my first experience I had to go for 2 days. That alone was purely taking snapshots and watching performances. I hardly sampled any of the various delicacies that were offered from different countries and continents. Even then after the whole thing, I was like I need more than super freakingly 2 days to cover the whole site.

On my first day I spotted little girls dressed in their Hawaiian costumes and headed to the Polynesian Island tents. These first set of photos would be one of my favourites throughout the event.

"I thought my book was done, then we went to Hawaii and the whole last chapter happened." ~Mariel Hemingway quotes (writer, businesswoman & actress)

Canada is definitely a melting pot of cultures, heritage and ethnicities.

Interesting facts on Heritage Fest
>The tradition of picking a special theme phrase to lend a unique element each year goes right back to the Festival’s early days. Some of these have included “The Total Ethnic Experience” (1981), “A Kaleidoscope of Culture” (1985), “Fiddle Around the World” (1988), “Our Family . . . The World” (1990), “Send a Message to the World . . . We’re Proud of Our Heritage” (1996), and “Stirring up Fun” (2001).

>Over the years, more than seventy groups have presented cultural pavilions at the Heritage Festival at one time or another.

Now am a big sucker for sunsets (usually the ones by the beach) but now I've found this new place where I just had this beautiful gazebo all to myself and the beautiful view of the lake.I enjoyed this time best among relative to my other moments at camp.

It was then I kind of decided having a wedding here by the lake in a simple but really gorgeous gazebo would be like my dream wedding.Yes am such a sucker for romanticism..aren't we all?!

“Know what you want to do, hold the thought firmly, and do every day what should be done, and every sunset will see you that much nearer the goal.”Elbert Hubbard quotes (American editor, publisher and writer, 1856-1915)

Powered by Photoblog.com

Exhaustion from work and other things have been keeping me away.
The only reason I've manage to upload some new photos is simply because these sets were just amazingly beautiful to share and I could not keep them to myself!!

This set was taken at Camp Nakamun,I was there for a Parish Retreat.I had the gorgeous opportunity to have breakfast with a view.Let's just say I did not want this scenery to go away ever!!

I was just awed and was carried away by the whole scenery. INDESCRIBABLE!!

“Sunrise doesn't last all morning, a cloudburst doesn't last all day, seems my love is up and has left you with no warning. It's not always going to be this grey. All things must pass, all things must pass away.”George Harrison quotes (Musician, producer and composer, member of The Beatles, 1943-2001)

Powered by Photoblog.com
