Finally, the so long awaited day had arrived. TAP's A330 premiere at Madeira. Landed, from Caracas at 5.30 am on the 16th of May.

Those winglets sure could use some color. Maybe TAP's logo, would give a nice touch.

On the cockpit, the flight to Lisbon was being prepared by Capt. Carlos Negrão and his F/O.

It's a great looking plane, wherever you're looking at it.

Funny that I'm used to see the spinner in black and the spiral in white, oposite to the ones on this plane.

At lunch it was time for the first Lisbon-Madeira-Caracas flight. And what a magnificent view to see that big bird coming in.

On the cockpit, Capt. Carlos Rodriguez and F/O Dany Jardim, two portuguese-venezuelan pilots, sons of Madeirean.
|
Although it was mentioned at first that this trip would be made on the CS-TOL, one of the TAP's new A330 named after "João Gonçalves Zarco" (finder of Madeira Island), after all, the flight was made by CS-TOF.

Right turn heading for a 3000ft flight along the coast to Funchal, before proceding to Caracas. Hope you had a nice flight.

Despite the "blue" lights at night, great great shots!! For sure it worth waking up early! and at the afternoon, well the pictures speak for them self... :P
