My handsome Freek.
Many times I tried to take a picture while he looks up.
So, few minutes ago I took my camera in my right hand and in my left hand a fluffy twig. I said his name and waved the twig on the left side above my head.
This way I could hold his attention just long enough to make this picture.

Two weeks ago I started a new job. A totally new challenge, something I never did before.
The job's completion is technical laboratory work. The work must be done very precisely and is also much lighter than my previous job (no havy manual labor).
Immediately I got a permanent contract, which is extremely rare in these difficult economic times. Still, first I had a trial period for two weeks. Now the trial is over and today I got the news that I can stay permanently (yippee).
So my weekend can begin on a pleasant note.

Wow. Fantastic shot. I'm usually of the opinion that the internet has too many cat photos as it is, but I see I was wrong.

This precious shot is wonderful, but not nearly so good as your work news! I'm thrilled for you, my friend! All they should have done is look at your quality photography and your sense of detail in your images to know that you would be a great employee! (Your kitty reminds me of our tabby cat named Tammy - we cried for weeks after she died!)
