Time to Say Goodbye

An oldie, but a goodie, and significant as I was drinking beer and eating pizza that night...and will no longer.

I've decided to shut down my blog for various reasons.
One main reason is because I find myself getting absorbed in self-importance or self-pity when I blog. I have to keep reminding myself that these things are unimportant in the grand scheme of things.

Two is because my life is, for the most part, dreadfully boring. I do go out and do things and really try to take advantage of the artistic and creative opportunities that this city affords, but just adding a snapshot of the Boston Ballet flyer (you can't take pictures inside most theaters) isn't doing anyone any good. And I'm no longer in college where it's standard to take out your camera in pubs and take drunken pictures of your friends for your Facebook profile.

Three, my "recipes" are not recipes. I look in my fridge each night, see what isn't yet rotten, and try to come up with a way to make a meal from it. Then I take the leftovers to work for the next few days (ideally). Magical, I know. Once in a while, I'll use a recipe, but those are most relegated to any GF baking I do. And I don't bake. Primarily because the last thing I need when I can no longer run (my knees have been throbbing) are cookies/brownies/cake.

Four, I need more time to watch Fringe, Lost, Bones, Gossip Girl, and additional vintage TV such as Melrose Place, Dark Shadows, Angel, and Veronica Mars (check out these last ones at the WB's beta site!--google it)

Kind of kidding on the last one. But the idea of needing more time to read, write (except that all I can write lately is drivel), workout, and play with Rupert, still stands. He's a high-maintenance little bugger (not really).

With that said, I appreciate all of you wonderful photobloggers and remain forever in awe of all of your combined talent! Some of you really ought to contribute to "National Geographic"...seriously. I'll try to check in on your blogs periodically, but have already fallen behind. I'll close this site down by the end of the week.
