She Left her Past behind

it was a warm early summer's day. the beach was beautiful under the rays of light, a little too crowded but that was to be expected. summer had brought with it the hope that winter had covered under a thin layer of snow. thin, due to the climate change. snow in mainland northern europe was becoming rare. anyways, there she was, with lots of dreams floating in the air. she was hopeful that she could catch them like you catch butterflies in a net. she was leaving her past behind and heading towards a new light. or so she thought. butterflies are rare and ephemeral. and she didnt seem to swing that net hard enough. then, one day, when she least expected it...
