Most people don't feel like they got enough time to pay attention to real beauty, so they try to find it in the magazines or on TV. But beauty has to be important. Real beauty, I mean. I'm not talking about fashion. I'm talking about nature, childhood, generosity, laughter... Beauty gives hope. Beauty is life. Life is beauty.

Very thoughtful post and wonderful photos to illustrate it. I agree with Madoc, but it's true that most people don't appreicate that kind of beauty. Or don't think about it.

The tendency, in situations like this, is to go for the dichotomy (inner beauty v. outer beauty) or to find comfort in changing/expanding the meaning of beauty to satisfy our conscience/principles. But, thus, we will be discussing labels and not issues! The issue in the first topic is that war is ugly but the handicapped player can do beautiful things with his life! In the second instance we might dismiss the fashion show as superficial and not important in a country with serious problems... therefore calling it ugly... but, after knowing the story of the designer, we will have a different perspective on the issue and find the beauty of the situation!

theres power in beauty. its the human way to think... ppl in fact become so ubsessed with outward beauty im sorry to say but theyve forgotten the more important things. like family, friends, even those dying children all around the world [sorry. lol. i go to south africa every year to work in an orphanage for two weeks... you begin to see real beauty there.. ] what an inspiring post.
