What with school and internship and moving in a couple of months, I'm under a lot of stress right now. When I'm under stress, I seem to wind out going to Starbucks a lot. I'm not quite sure how that works--I suppose a little bit of a treat in the form of decaf vanilla latte helps somehow. When I was there, I took a picture of the barista while she was making my drink.
I'm not sure what caught my eye about the storm drain grate in the parking lot at the Staples. I didn't consciously notice that the white parking lot line painted across it was askew until I got home and looked at the picture.
I'm pretty sure the building in two fire pictures was a shed, so I don't think anyone lost their home. But there are obviously a lot of things that were burned or singed or are now out on the yard.
And, saving the best for last, the assignment for The Daily Shoot was to take a picture of something that reminds you of home. Those pictures of Patrick are on a section of wall near my desk that I look at *many* times a day because of the ergonomics of my job. Reminders of home indeed.
