I went through the agricultural center today for my photography-and-sketching time. It was very misty. There was actual sunrise around, but I was driving through a low-lying cloud for a lot of the time. Pretty though. :D

Then I was in a neat pink-lit ground mist.

After the ag center, I went to a different historical mansion in town--though I think it's associated with the same Snowden family. The mansion is much smaller and has a private residence right next door, so I didn't get out of the car. But the whitecedar lined drive to it was very pretty in the sunlight.

Later, I spent a little time sketching pigeons in a parking lot (I got to a store a few minutes before it opened) and had fun watching a gull defend an apple from some Little Bitty Birdies only to discover after a couple of bites that he didn't really want it. Later, when I came out of the store there was a crow eating that same apple on top of my car. :D Made me laugh out loud, that did. Of course, I hadn't taken my big camera or my pencils in with me (so no sketching) but I always have my phone...

The fog and especially the mist in #2 are so mysterious. It's so nice to see the sun shining through and your crow is hilarious. He must be health conscious! Keryl · 2011-10-04: 22:41
