Oct. 22: Caught In The Flash; Patrick In The Evening

During the day we did errands, went out to lunch with a friend, and did some work in the afternoon. Nothing photogenic.
In the evening, we went to a really quite delightful 18th Century Pub Night event at the historic mansion--there was a beer tasting and period games and music (not authentic, but tons of fun) and food. We were sitting at a table with a really nice couple and had a lovely time playing Shut the Box and Alphabet Dice (18th Century Boggle) with them. The fun and photogenic part of the day, I didn't get any pictures of because the light was low and I don't like flash photography most of the time. I did make a nice sketchbook page at the event.
After we got home, I took a couple of pictures of Patrick. The first one illustrates why I don't like flash photography--he looks like he's caught in headlights or something. The second is blurry but nicer. :D

I agree about flash photography...maybe if I had a nice Flash on a Stick it would be better. That's why more often than not my shots are underexposed. Great (funny) shots of your Patrick!
