Everything is completely different in HK compared to dear Singapore. Apart from people actually speaking Chinese, and thereby not speaking English, the MRT is called MTR! It took a while to get used to.

A very long ride on the MTR followed by an even longer on a bus takes you to Ngong Ping Plateau. Home of a massive bronze Buddha, the Tian Tan Buddha. Like all other big statues it claims to be the biggest of its kind. What kind this would be? The world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha.

To make the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha even more impressive it is situated on a hill. A popular concept I've found.

All Buddha's come with matching temples. And all matching temples come with these little ones for burning stuff. The smoke is more intense than it looks.

I don't think anyone I met after this late April day has noticed the increased wisdom I so clearly posses from taking the WISDOM PATH. I did not find it necessary to stretch beforehand. Wise choice since it's rather short.

Moving on to Tai O, a small island just on the side of Lantau. Here you'll find little old ladies selling chewy candy on sticks. If you ask nicely you'll get it squeezed between two crackers. It's really far from the city centre and not just in terms of distance.

The rare photo of me. The full text is unfortunately not possible to catch in a single frame. It reads: TAI O IS THE ONLY PARADISE IN FUCKING HONG KONG. Tai O was nice, but so was the rest of HK so someone has got it all wrong.

The trams were the best way to get around and by some weird logic also the cheapest means of transport. Only available on HK island though.
