This was on our drive to take the shell island cruise. The water was amazingly beautiful.
|
On our way out to Shell Island, our boat made a couple of stops. This was one of them. There was a fish in that cage called a Pig Fish. It didn't look like a pig, but it sounded just like one. It was oinking like crazy.....weirdest thing.

I like the name of that barge. Wisdom - yes, please. The pelicans followed us for quite a while.

We didn't find that many shells on this trip. (I found a baby sand dollar that got crushed in my pocket on the way back. boo.) We did, however, see this little fella. There is a funny story to go along with it too.
When I saw it, it was running all over the place. As I got closer to it, it ran toward me. Needless to say, I freaked out a bit and started running. I wasn't paying attention to where I was running and ending up falling in the sand. Yep, I bit the dust because of this little guy. I couldn't stop laughing either after it happened. I can't stop laughing now because it was such a funny story!! Isn't he cute? |
When we got back to the dock, this bird was waiting for us. We had a great time. If you ever go to Destin, FL, I highly suggest taking the cruise out to Shell Island. (The Ashley Gorman boat leaves from Panama City Beach.)
