Getting Started: Diet Coke Break

4th Attempt/Session with dSLR.
Ok. Just four sessions in and I'm already getting lazy! I'm not going to get the chance to head out today so I figured I'd take a Diet Coke break. Besides, after yesterday's disastrous attempt at outdoor work - it seems wise to lock myself in!
Turns out that there are things to think about. Like the flash dominating all that shiny metal. Still. It gave me an excuse to lie on the floor and make it look like I was doing something. I wasn't. I was being very, very lazy.
PROJECT:
Take a newbie (me) that has no idea how to take photographs. Next, grab an entry level Nikon d3100 with 18-55VR stock lens and set both to full manual. Then, try to take photographs and have the end result resemble what was in my mind when I clicked the button.
