The one thing that differs greatly in the UK to Australia is the varied trees and plants. It's weird not seeing eucalyptus trees or those trees you see in the streets all over Sydney (that carry those bird-shaped seed pods that release clumps of itchy pollen filaments.)
Instead,here, everything is so green; whether it be the deciduous oak trees; lush hedges or omnipresent winding ivy; which is why a trip down any given urban street or through a pebbily lane in the country side is made interesting for me.
I took these pictures as inspiration for some new artworks; but remind me of the botanical prints- or those diagrams that were constructed by the early Australian explorers to show the local botany.
