It was a good idea to take advantage of the sunshine last Saturday on a trip south to Bournemouth. The traffic was caotic as the one and a half hour trip became increasingly extended as the cars, trucks and caravans on the motorway built up.
But it was worth the wait. An extensive span of sandy beach and plenty of beach-goers made for plenty to see.
The water felt like a welcome excape to the heat to begin with; but the weather took a turn for the worst late afternoon (see photo of the sky); and unfortunately I missed my chance for a dip- which is OK as I sceptically didn't wear boardies.
