It was only a week before the snow fall in London, I was watching a detective show on TV and wondering about sniffer dogs ability to track villians using their 'scented' trails left by their walking.
During the snow then, I noticed how in the snow, your footprints became so much more evident and blatently obvious- there is no way to hide or disguise them !
On my day out in the snow that Sunday I gathered a collection of photos of different tracks- perfectly formed in the fresh snow and if need be- followable !!
Walking through it leads to a bit of slip and sliding too- some snow chains on my shoes would have been nice !It was hard to judge wether to take the preformed trail or create my own, benefiting from the traction of un- touched snow. Sometimes it was too deep, so the seemingly easy option revealled a false sense of security- liquid deeper than it appears.
I was also surprised though by how clean the soft, wet abrasion left my shoes : )
