A Bittersweet Day

2008.07.06

the view outside Meaghen's dorm window. I can only imagine the sunrises and sunsets

moving in, Meaghen hanging up clothes and trying to put all the stuff away

Meaghen's desk

Finally completed and ready to rest

she was so tired by the tim we were getting finished

This is where she will live

Today was the big day, Meaghen moved into her dorm today and starts her summer work program tomorrow. I held up pretty good until she hugged me a second time and the tears rose up, just for a little bit though. Then my Mom and Me headed back on our five hour journey home. A little piece of my heart was left behind with my oldest daughter, but I wish her so many blessings and I am so happy for the opportunities she will have. I will get to see her in October for homecoming weekend

veganess I know exactly the "twinge" you spoke about on your last post.

paintbox It's so hard when your first little bird leaves the nest. Keep your chin up, there ARE blessings. Not so much laundry nor groceries. Nice pictures.

Peachy Makes me choked up to think that my daughter will be moving into her dorm room in less than two months. Stay strong, mom!

tbranscum Hey, you have brought tears to my eyes. I remember my mom helping me move into my college dorm. She wrote me a little and I found it right after she left. She forgot the cooler and came back and there I was sitting on the bed boohooing. Memories... thanks!
