Sydney’s Central Railway Station, also known as Sydney Terminal is the largest railway station in Sydney. The main station building was opened in 1906.

The 75 meter clock tower was added in 1921.

Sydney Terminal also services the tram line…

A hanging clock large enough to read time from opposite ends of the main hall

One of several rows of gates… The terminal has 27 platforms wich services almost all of the lines of the city rail network

... and shops.

Bikes are allowed inside the trains. This one’s having a break.

Taking the train to and from the airport is convenient. Luggage-pulling peeps are aplenty in Central, where most people to and from the airport alight to transfer train.

One of the bus waiting sheds became a favorite spot by this wandering old lady… She’s probably homeless and sleeps there as well or at the nearby park.

Backpackers accommodation nearby…

Belmore Park, just across Eddy Avenue…
