Interesting photo. We do need to protect our earth and as Ruth pointed out, there is more than one way to do this.

The same is happening here. The only difference is, from which point on you can consider your car a "clunker", depends on the status quo. Neat shot!

Neat shot! Very cool!! I don't know what to think about cars... People use their own car to go just to the corner! That's crazy. Some other still use their old cars that emit excessive amounts of gaseous pollutant. Fortunately some others buy this new kind of hybrid cars, half normal - half electric. But we must learn to do things in other way. Nothern Europe are clever in this sense.

EXCELLENT SHOT!!! I've been seeing this all over the TV...I wonder how many people are junking their cars for this.

Interesting shot! Amazing the things that are happening in this bad economy. Not sure, but I think this Cash for Clunkers is a national program...

Very nice capture and post! my friend! It is very low! The dealers are like children without parents when the Auto giants file bankruptcy!

I suppose being European and driving a German car I could make some smart comment about the build-quality of American cars..... but I won't :-)

Neat picture. I can't imagine many showrooms here putting that display on the forecourt. But then they are such sharks they'd probably worry that people would think that's what they are selling. I like that name "clunker"; over here we call 'em bangers (I think because in the past old knackered cars used to backfire a lot).

A very timely post considering the news today! I got a notice in the mail suggesting I turn in my old van, but I gave it to my nephews already.

Cool shot. In Italy too the car market is at its minimum point. I have a wreck-car which is 10 years old and it's not safe and trustable anymore. If I can get a job abroad EEC or even USA (as here also the job market has reached its minimum level too), I have to buy a new second-hand car ;-)

The new car market is picking up here in Australia... but not because of me )-: I do love cars, though mine is only 11 years old. Nothing ever goes wrong with it. Has anyone else noticed how so many things are replaced to shore up our sense of self worth?... it's a strange economy we have!
