CHERRAPUNJEE SIGHT SEEING.

2008.07.18
Meghalaya Tourism used to arrange vehicles for Cherrapunjee sight seeing from Shillong. We had taken a 27 seater bus for which they charged Rs 200/ per head. From my point of view it's a reasonable and most dependable because street taxy driver or tata sumo owners can charge much more and may try to confuse new tourists.

The first spot... A view point in the road... this photo is showing the height of the spot.

Rain in the hill...Cherrapunjee -- The wetest part of the world.....where rain is not measured in cm rather in ft.

A store....In front of the Non-Khalikai Falls..We cant see the fall because of huge fog... only the sound of the fall was hearable. This type of fog is very common there. So it's totally your luck.

Poor DalChini sellers... Rs 10/ per packet.

Bangladesh boarder....again the distant part of the photo is hazy due to fog.

A fall at the same point.

Next point....Thangkharang Park.

A green house ....@ ... Thangkharang Park.

Flower in a cactus.

Seven Sisters Falls...the most popular spot ...

We were lucky because fog was clear at that time.

Mawsmai Cave....you have to walk 150 meters through the cave .

Within the cave

Some part of the basement is full of water, so better you leave your shoes outside....otherwise you have to carry in your hand.

Some part was very narrow and difficult to go through.... old persons should not take this adventure.

This spot we have enjoyed a lot......We have taken lunch after this journey in a nearby restaurant and felt that the cost of food is extreamly high.

Eco Development Park...The last spot.

A small green house there.
