I finally got out and tried the 15" softbox outside in the front yard, as the sun was setting. Julie held the softbox with the flash while I tried shooting into the sun. I'm pretty pleased with how these came out for a first run, I still have plenty to learn when it comes to balancing the sunlight with the flash. I'm definitely going to get out there and try some different stuff this summer and find some more interesting backgrounds.
