These were taken on Saturday July 21. I wanted to split them up from the hot air balloon pics, so I posted them here.

Edit: Some people in the comments and in messages were asking how these were taken, I must give credit to this fireworks tutorial from Fro Knows Photo.com I followed it and made some minor tweaks.
I used the D7000, 24-70 2.8, a tripod and a wireless remote ( a wired one works great too)
I used the first few fireworks to get my setting right and then the only thing I tweaked was the zoom (I stayed between 40mm and 60mm) lens/camera was set to manual focus and a hair right before infinity to get them sharp and in focus (your camera might be different so you have to see where its most sharp), I set it to f/10 and bulb setting (you press the shutter to open and whenever you press it again to close thats how long it stays open.) You have to experiment with how long you leave the shutter open for, most of these shots I liked were anywhere between 1 second to 2 seconds. I tried this technique on the 4th of July but I feel I did much better on these (practice I guess)
In post editing I bumped up the contrast, highlights, and saturation a bit and turned down the blacks to get a darker sky/background. Hope this helps, and give it a try, they were fun to shoot:)
