A.H. Wheeler is a chain of book-stalls you'll notice all over India.

One person sets out to travel, six come to see him off! This is a favourite national sport - seeing people off on rail journeys.

Travelling by train in India can be great fun, provided you are carrying an open mind and a sense of humour along on the journey.

thisismizb I love that your "slice of life's" are so different than mine. (and yet, some the same ;-)...)

cakemonkey I love train journeys in India - they're so, so different from anything one would experience in the UK.

????? LOL - the group send off is not terribly unlike the mid-west of the U.S. I remember when the whole family used to see me off, it just was the airport vs. the train station.

SoulCurry Did you have a weepy Mom, an Dad loaded with advice, uncles with food, aunts with flowers and several giggly cousins?
SoulCurry · 2009-02-02: 07:36
Shannamuppet I had the weepy send-off a few times when I was younger. Now they don't care where I'm going. :( I am seriously envious of your shots....everything is so vibrant, so amazing, so beautiful. My world is an endless shroud of mist/snow/dark/ice.
