This deity obviously has pagan origins. Found outside the temple doors everywhere in Himachal. The coins, chains, horse-shoes and other thingumabobs you see are offerings of satisfied customers.

One of the many truly beautiful women I met this weekend. Got talking to her and when we said goodbye she gave me several heads of broccoli and a big hug. Also an injunction to return someday.

I hope he's only washing dishes to help his mum. Poor little bunny. Is it pagan because its not a Hanuman or Ganesha etc? Its not really that obvious to me as a non-hindu.

Beautiful shots, your books should be 'Faces of Shimla' it would be a hit (well... I would buy it, hehe). #1 doesn't look pagan at all to me :-D
