The mother of this little fella gave him a football and told him "Play with it, I have some things to do". She saw me watching them and asked me if I'd keep an eye on him (Which i did).
Believe it or not, he kept himself thoroughly busy for the next hour, playing all by himself. It is also a credit to our little town that a Mom can let her kid be by himself in a crowded shopping area and not have to worry about it.
