A typical kettle uses a huge 3000w of power.
Most of us boil twice as much water as we need, this is equivalent to the energy of 50 light bulbs! Per week this amounts to lighting a house for a day or running a TV for 26 hours!

By 2015, consumer electronics and small appliances will be responsible for almost 30% of all household electricity use. It is calculated that these appliances left on standby account for 5% of total domestic energy use and spew 12 million tons of carbon into the atmosphere. So get off your ass and turn it off

Change your light bulb! If Everyone in Europe changed their incandescent bulb for an energy efficient bulb then we would need 27 less power stations!

some designs i did for an energy efficiency campaign
